Just read the review...it sounds really good...

I am slowly getting back to reading novels again...I ALWAYS had a book on my night stand....

I read a great book in June THE ART OF HEARING HEARTBEATS...really good ....

Thanks for this book suggestion!

hopefull....I have had a hard time reading - concentration/attention span - but now that boys are that much older, it is improving. This one is on my night stand, and I bring it downstairs too during the day - I know when I am enjoying a book bc it comes along with me!

I cannot imagine the solitude of being a Lighthouse keeper - and then the story that goes along with is really intriguing.

I loved it...fantastic. I did have some difficulty with some of the subject matter...but we can talk about that after you finish.

I read it in January and loved it. I still can't decide what I would have honestly done in that situation.

Finished this book a couple weeks ago. I held onto it, making the ending last as long as possible. I discovered long ago that I need to get involved with the characters - like them/hate them. That was true with that but also, I LOVED the way the story was written. There are so many beautiful sentences throughout the novel that I would read them again and again. I loved the idea of living in isolation with only the ocean waves and the land immediately surrounding the characters being the only constant. And then there is the whole idea of the light-house keeper - a stable someone who ensures that no matter what, the path is lit for others who are far from home - people they will never meet and yet...and yet....

I did enjoy many things about LBO. For me, it ended the way I hoped it would.

Hope you are enjoying the read.
