No throwing books! I have a deep respect for them. What are you reading these days?
Anyone else have a book you love or interested in a group read? I just bought Here and Gone and I'm looking into books on being positive at work or making a career change because well, I'm overdue. My boss is killing me. I'll take any suggestions on books on careers!

I have some suggestions. All of these helped me:
The Happiness Trap, How to stop struggling and start living
The subtle art of not giving a f*ck
Hardwiring Happiness
Liminal Thinking
The Presence Process (this one helps you stop living in the past)
Necessary Endings
The Power of the Other (how to stop other people from having an effect on you)
Invisible Acts of Power
Sacred Contracts
So, that is just a start. All of these are worth looking up.

Actually I normally read a lot of fantasy novels. Way of Kings is one of my favorite uplifting novels. If you aren't into fantasy though and are open to the idea I'd start with Wicked.

I read all kinds of books. I started Wicked a long time ago but never finished. Lately I've been reading thrillers. I'll check out your recommendation! I admit I miss the days where reading meant 8-10 hours of straight reading. Now I'm lucky to get ten uninterrupted minutes. (Darn kids 😉

For the job change: Pivot, The Art and Science of Reinventing Your Career and Life. It has amazing reviews. I just downloaded it myself.
Also: Mid-Life Career Rescue (The Call For Change): How to change careers, confidently leave a job you hate, and start living a life you love, before it’s too late. That one has a lot of tests to take to see what is right for you.
I also downloaded: The Art of Work: A Proven Path to Discovering What You Were Meant to Do. It looks like an excellent book.

Hello! I like to find books at my local resale store, and many times I gravitate to old hardcovers that are written anytime before 1980. I usually don't know anything about the authors or the story so I'm surprised when the book doesn't match the cover. I just picked up a book written in 1966 by Ann Fairbairn, called Five Smooth Stones. I'm 89 pages in, and so far it has kept my interest. I still have no idea what type of book it's going to turn out to be or if it will keep keeping my interest, it has 853 pages so anything can happen.

I love that you do that, Books. How awesome and fun. I may need to try it.
I'm currently reading Here and Gone by Beck but my goodness, it's a bit hard to read if you have kids.

Ntv, if you were a vegetarian, your nickname would be salad shooter!
I've always loved Stephen King. The Stand is my favorite all time book.
I also love the Dark Tower Series.
