Welp, we made it another year and tomorrow we start getting more daylight time, maybe only merely seconds, but it's the psychological impact, right?

A couple of weeks ago when I was looking at sunrise/sunset hours, I did notice that the sun really starts to set later starting on Dec. 8th, although sunrises are still moving later into the morning. So I celebrated Dec. 8th, too!

I live in a place that has 300+ days of sunshine. Doesn't mean it's warm, but there is sunshine.

As I get older, I understand going south for the winter.

During the fall/winter time, I can make it through Jeopardy, then figure I can move to the bedroom to watch "my shows" before sleeping.

Well, we haven't gained a full second yet where I live, but I can feel it coming!! 🤣🤣🤣

We had a bigger than expected snowfall on Friday, and for reasons that I don't understand yet, plowing and salting was abysmal in our town, which usually is very attentive to these services. Main streets look great, but most side streets are like ice rinks. Our high yesterday didn't make it to 20, but we will be in the low 30s the rest of this week.

I know the town has been advertising for snow plow drivers, offering competitive pay, but I suspect they couldn't recruit enough to tackle this first storm. Hopefully they will get it taken care of before the next storm.
