Sounds familiar, Dragn. Only in my case I put it "somewhere that I would remember where it is". I'm still looking for some of those things. rolleyes Hopefully it won't matter and everyone's will arrive in time.

I hope the tracking is wrong. It says it’s still sitting at the SugarLand PO, since the 28th!!!!! 😡😡

If it didn’t get delivered, I am VERY sorry, as I thought I gave it plenty of time 😓

S2S — mine was supposed to arrive on Monday but didn’t get delivered until yesterday. USPS doesn’t usually let me down but this was disappointing. Hope it gets there in time.

Just bumping this back up to the front page. From experience I expect to start getting cards by the end of the week. Of course, I didn't see any pictures of the Elf party this year, but that is a well oiled by tequila operation so I'm certain all went smoothly!

The cards are on the way! They should start arriving this week.

It was a small party of one this year. I know I can count on additional elves when needed, but this was a small job and I had a lot going on last weekend. smile

And we all know we can count on that handsome guy in the photo. I look forward to a sparkly mailbox in a few days!

BTW, MH, just curious how much "after party" sparkle there was at your house? laugh

If you are referring to the glitter I'm still seeing it all over the place catching the light as I walk around the house. smile Then again, it's hard to differentiate what's from this year or years past. It lingers. grin

If you aren't referring to glitter, there isn't any sparkle. I'm still recovering from my last "relationship." laugh

Definitely meant the first kind, MH. grin

I keep seeing sparkles in the carpet here and have been thinking of a house that has not been in the family for a number of years now. I was visiting DS, DDIL and family one Christmas and unable to participate in the exchange. One participant did not receive any of their cards, so the call went out to send replacement cheer and I jumped at the chance to do a little. DDIL wondered why I requested all of the sparkly items in the grandkids' craft supplies. She got an edited, redacted, Cliff Notes/Readers' Digest version and was all-in; we even made a trip to purchase more. The resulting card was overstuffed and needed a special declaration and $$ to send as a 'package'. I'm willing to bet there are still glimpses of SI fun in at least the office and the bedroom I was in all these years later. Maybe even at that post office!

Glad to see you can laugh a bit about your relationship recovery, MH. I think maybe the happy memories and 'glimpses' of Christmases in that house play a part. Happy Holidays.

And so it begins...got the first batch today! Thanks MH for elf-sufficiency to do it all alone! And great picture BTW...I can remember some times from that cabana. And there's probably some times I can't remember but who's counting.

That's odd, but at the same time prime. There could be a Disney animated special of the trials and tribulations that one card went through to get to you. Starring Tom Hanks as the post master.

Much gratitude and a tip of the hat to MangledHeart for doing this.

Yayness - sparkly goodness arriving daily! Crinkle crinkle.

As per my tradition started in 2012, I shall have a quiet moment opening them on Christmas eve. Thank you everyone.

Side notes:

MH: Kudos to you and the tequila and the elfen party of one for making this happen. Heartfelt cheers.

Tred: You old muckety muck, you old so and so. I am here to point out that you danced awfully close to shaming MH for not posting a party pic.

Therefore, I would like to ask what color is the pot, Mr. Kettle? For I have not yet seen a picture of my shimmery blue tree surrounded by SI happiness anywhere in this thread. (Werd.)

Thank you to ALL that did the Christmas Card exchange!! My H wondered how we received so many cards this year - I’m not ready to share SI w/ him just yet so I told him I joined a Christmas Card Exchange Club. That’s a thing right? 🤔 😊😂 I collected all the cards that I received and opened them all at once last night. Having already been tipped off by Chili and Dragn’s earlier posts about GLITTER - I was fully prepared!! Thank you for bringing your Christmas joy into my life this year. Happy Holidays to you all.

LOL Chili and WOES! It's been on the list of "to do" things I've asked for help with laugh . Since I don't have social media and the image posting changed years ago I seem to always get the size wrong where it's either gigantic or too small to be useful. It'll get here.
