This is my first post here and I just have to say how much I love my new beginning. It feels like a new beginning for me as I can feel the peace of mind every day. All of the toxicity from my M is washing away. This is my life now and I get to do anything I want without having to get approval or hear any criticism about it.

My animals even seem happier at my new place. No more walking on eggshells or having a dark cloud over my head. It is like heaven and I'm embracing it.

No more thoughts of the A, why he had an A. The AP's are the furthest thing from my mind.

I never thought this would be possible. I thought I was going to be plagued by my Ex's A forever. While I am plagued by the time spent and how I was able to put up with abuse for so long, I no longer obsess about it.

My new beginning was gaining a new life with new hopes and aspirations. I plan to make the most out of the rest of my life and I can look forward to it now.

CBS...isn't this peace just the best feeling ever???? If I want to watch Hallmark movies on repeat or a chick flick on the tube?-yes I can without listening to him bitching! Don't feel like cooking? Guess what-I don't have to! Decorating choices? Anything that makes ME happy and with no snide remarks about my selections! And the examples could go on and on about all these 'little things' that now make up my peaceful happy life.....welcome to your new beginning! Will there be 'down days'...of course there will be-but this SI group is here for you always. You've got this girl, and life is sooooo much better on this side

Fantastic!!!!

I'm 7yrs into my freedom and don't know if I will ever be able to live with a man again! I love running my own house without interference and doing as much (or as little) as I want :)

May 29 2021 ***reclaimed myself and decided to delete my story with my ex because I'm now 7 years free from him and mentally healthier than I've been in years.

While I am plagued by the time spent...

I understand this, my friend!

I spent nine more years playing that game - ugh!

BUT - we are out of it now. We know we did all we could, etc. No shame in that.

I am ten years into my NB and it is still a great feeling!!!!!!

Onward and upward GF!
