That is so horrible!
I used to live in Hoover, Alabama!!! A different lifetime / marriage ago. About 30 miles from Birmingham. Just a quiet little town at that time. Probable much bigger now.

I think Europeans might hear about this early because they are baffled at the frequency of gun-violence in the US whereas "only" three dead doesn’t really hit the news locally.

I was taking a mini news break beyond the Jan 6 hearings and had to look this one up. Absolutely heartbreaking. Insane. Unconscionable. He shot the man who offered to fix him a plate, who died in his wife's arms as she told him she loved him. Dear Lord. I barely recognize my country anymore. I don't grocery shop or go to a movie or concert or anywhere in public now without wondering where the next crazy American is going to show up and wreak misery on innocent people. 
BW: 64 WH: 64 Both 57 on Dday, M 37 years, 2 grown kids. WH had 9 year A with MOW, 7 month false R, multiple DDays from 2017 - 2022, with five years of trickle truth and lies. I got rid of her with one email. Reconciling, or trying to.

You might be on to something Bigger - you know, 'plane doesn't crash' or 'dog bites man' isn't really news, it it?
Whether these kinds of incidents are becoming more common or just being more increasingly reported, even a single one is one too many.
