I do feel like she would not tolerate the treatment if she encountered it. She is very vocal.
I don't want my daughter to become a bitter person who hates people because they appear more "successful" regardless of whether they may or may not deserve it.
Oh, trust me: I have a spitfire DD, too. I've watched her take on five aggressive teenage boys who were jumping between cars on a moving train when everyone else (including me) sat there thinking we ought to say something. She's advocated for herself loudly when someone else tried to take academic credit for her work. In this situation, she realized that it was in her best interest to play the long game. By sacrificing a few dollars an hour, she got a recommendation that led to a six figure scholarship the next year. She did it because she was smart, not because she was scared.
But she shouldn't have had to choose.

Good for her!! Unfortunately there are people who may think she is "aggressive and argumentative" just because she doesn't turn her head on the other side pretending things don't happen. Too many people enjoy women who shut up and I really appreciate people who do not let other intimidate them with their judgements.

The OP will not be returning to this thread.
If you keep asking people to give you the benefit of the doubt, they will eventually start to doubt your benefit.
