So, we all live in a relatively small place in Australia. My WH and I work in the exact same industry but we each work for the competition. I am an Assistant Manager who is responsible for all the HR and he is an area supervisor.
On Monday he found out his business is closing down. The OW still works there in a different department. Today the boss of this company comes over for a meeting with our management team with a list of staff with high potential and that we may like to hire. And fuck me – that bitch is on the list. It took all my strength to hold my tongue while he only spoke high praise and in telling me how smart she is.
All I wanted to do is scream and say "well she is not that fucking smart if she thought she had a hope in hell of being hired by me".
What a day!

I hope this turns into a karma story. Don’t do anything that I get your job, endangered, but it would be great to not have her there.

Please tell me you can have some input into this situation and she is not being hired at your company.

I’m positive she won’t work for us but it was bloody hard to hear praise for someone who played a part in destroying your marriage.
Sad part is she probably is amazing at her job!

She may be great at what she does - BFD. Do her actions align with your company's values and mission? Doesn't line up for me.
