I saw an interesting comment the other day, and it made so much sense. It basically said that it's human nature to judge other people by their actions, and not by their intentions. And yet we tend to judge ourselves by our intentions instead of actions.
So true, and I can certainly see that in my wife.
Married 13 years @ D-Day in 2009. Still hanging in there (maybe by a thread sometimes)

That reminds me of the social psychology concept of ‘attribution bias’, where we tend to explain another person’s conduct as being a consequence of character, and our own conduct as being a consequence of circumstances.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
